This is a term you will hear more and more in the DBM Academy, especially if you are involved in some of our major projects and team funds.
DAO stands for Decentralised Autonomous Organisation. A DAO is an organisation that is run by rules encoded as computer programs called "smart contracts." These smart contracts are stored on a blockchain network such as Ethereum.
A DAO is decentralised, meaning it is not controlled by any single entity or person but rather by a group of people who hold tokens and have voting rights.
DAOs are transparent, secure, and auditable, making them ideal for managing decentralised projects and communities without the need for intermediaries.
