Word of the Day | 2FA
2FA stands for Two-Factor Authentication. It's like having an extra lock on your door to keep your things safe.
Here's how it works:
First, you need something you know, like a password. This is your regular way of getting into your account.
But then, with 2FA, you also need something else to get in. This could be something you have, like your phone. Usually, after you enter your password, the service you're logging into will send a code to your phone.
You then enter this code along with your password to prove it's really you trying to get in.
So, even if someone knows your password, they still need that special code from your phone to actually get into your account.
2FA adds an extra layer of security to your accounts, making it much harder for hackers to steal your information.
